When Nigerians still think their leaders are the problem

Throwing trash on a major road is barbaric. Simple.

I am one of those people who sit in a corner in their offices, pubs or living room and take potshots at Nigerian leaders once in a while. I do this usually when the invisible hand of their idiocy and incompetence sorta stretches out like a vice to choke me and I feel I can’t take it anymore and need to scream at something.

But if our leaders deserve to be called dunderheads once in a while (or all the time, depending on how frustrated you are) some Nigerians deserve to be stripped and given a good lashing on the streets. If you think this is outrageous, then you don’t live in Lagos.

Driving from home to my workplace on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway takes me 20 minutes – well, when the witches controlling Lagos traffic are asleep actually. In that short journey today, I saw commuters throw out trash on the major road on three separate occasions. I am sure these are the same people one usually encounters in pubs bursting the veins in their necks in anger as they shoot vituperation at governors or the country’s head honcho.
